These are nicely figured Oregon Myrtle sets with excellent color and well controlled grain. Comes from the southwest coastal areas of Oregon. Called Bay Laurel in California, it actually gives off the aroma of a bay leaf when cut. The fiddleback figure is strong in the most well quartered areas and stays strong as it turns mottled out in the lower bout. Some of that was difficult to capture in the pics, but its there. Sides are tapered as indicated in the dimensions so please take note of that. Kiln dried, no bugs or powder post beetles! Myrtle bends well, takes and amazing polish, and is well known as an excellent tonewood.
