Legendary sets from "The Mother" claro walnut log, from a massive old tree that was felled for road expansion back in 2011. I didn't get the whole log, but what I did get has been air drying here in the high desert since then. These are fantastic plates to work with, and have been used by luthiers all over the world very successfully for many years, but nothing can last forever and the supply is getting low now. The figure is strong and tight and the color is rich and deep......this set has a very small bookmatched void near the lower ends of the side plates that may saw out or may require filler depending on your application. Contact me for close up pics if you like.....small fill spots are marked with chalk.
