Went through all my figured myrtle as I was preparing for the La Conner show and wound up getting around 30 sets or so, some of which sold at the show and some of which is posted here. Myrtle lumber can get pretty hairy pretty fast, so its always nice to find clean staight plates, with good figure. Its a wood species that has been catching on in the boutique luthier world for its workability and tonal properties, but has actually been used successfully for a long time in its unfigured version by large production companies like Taylor. These have a very tight and fine fiddleback figure to them, which is largely focused at the bookmatch, and may wane a bit at the outer edges of the lower bout. Message me for more pics please.
