These are cut from air dryed lumber from salvaged logs on the Big Island of Hawaii. I am able to dry it further here in the High Desert once it gets here. I feel lucky to be able to acquire koa of this quality these days. Classic rich deep koa color and grain, mixed in with some good fiddleback figure on the 3A sets that are only 3A because the figure wanes a little across the grain, and great figure on the 4A sets throughout. Nice wide plates too! I am not sure how often I will be able to stock these, so for now, when these are gone, they are gone.
